Doors and Windows

An attempt to document the doors and windows I stumble upon in my daily life and occasional travels. Taken from the outside of homes, shops, random walls and buildings, these photographs were made out of curiosity and a sense of wonder about how these architectural elements - doors and windows, both metaphorically and literally tell a story about the people and place.

Spiti - the middle land

From my recent travel to Spiti, Himachal Pradesh.

Spiti, with its white, ice-cold yet warm mountains, had both rural and urban-looking doors and windows. These photographs were made in and around my home stays, the many streets we stopped for chai and the monasteries I visited.
